It seems people rate any foreign film 7+ simply beause it is a foreign film, and somehow in contrast to mainstream domestic films they're good. This is not the case at all, especially with this film. 30 minutes in and I was ready to turn this off. Amature acting, bad sound, horrible cinematography, and a dull dull dull dull story. Was that the intent, though?
The movie only works if you are uruguayan (like me, of course).
yeah I know, I loved it. I thought I was gonna be bored but it managed to keep me interested and make me laugh. I loved their portrait of Uruguay and our "boring" everyday lives...of course the movie is a lot more fun if you're uruguayan because you can relate to that.

shareJust my five cents worth: I am European and I can totally relate to the characters and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. So I do not think you have to be Uruguayan (or South American) to appreciate the situation and the humor.

i didn't rate this movie 10 because it's foreign, i rated it 10 because when i watched this movie i felt like i could relate to those characters, like i knew them... but you wouldn't understand because you don't live in uruguay, like me and most of the people who loved this film.

25 Watts is not my fav film. It got a solid 7 on my book. Nonetheless it is better than any film directed by Brett Ratner, Uwe Böll or Michael Bay, and that's not an opinion, it's a fact!
