ALTERNATE END question
Can somebody explain to me what it meant, please?

she was the chick from the VERY beginning...the one whose son had been kidnapped. if u read the book, this ending makes sense. in the book, they focus a lot on her and her husband and them deciding if they should go to the police...and i think her husband actually does help...but the last scene is her watching everything unfold and grimacing b/c it happened to her too.
