Accent

I just saw this tonight on TV. Was the dad, Will, supposed to be Irish? Because at first he sounded "American" and then it seemed he slipped every now and then, and then near the end, he sounded completely Irish. Now, I know Stuart Townsend IS Irish, but was his character supposed to be?

Ah, thanks. I missed that part. I didn't come in until the mom found out her daughter was taken.

Yeah.. I saw the end of this a while ago, and I just noticed it was on, so I decided to watch it. When Courtney Love goes to Stuart Townshend in the hallway and asks to use her phone, I thought he was doing an American accent.. but in the scene that followed he sounded pretty Irish.. then when he fought with her and gave her the blanket.. talking about her getting beaten.

He is hella Irish. Which is hot. and pretty much I forgot about the movie and thought.. "Damn, his accent is hot." and that was all that was going through my mind..

Haha, i suck.

He was originally from ireland and ten moved to america hence slowly disolving his accent.
