seemed to change about halfway through the movie...it was kinda funny...

Yeah it was like he was trying to speak with an accent that was not his but he wasn't succeeding. His accent sounded British as times and not-quite-British at other times.
Yes, yes I know he's Irish, but I didn't think he ever sounded like he was speaking with an Irish accent.
When I said I wanted to be a comedian, they all laughed at me. Well, they're not laughing now!
