I thought it was fairly obvious, he was pretty much a rapist as well as a kidnapper, likely would have hurt her or her child had she not gone along with it, taking one huge risk she hid a blade and then turned the tables on the kidnapper to get her kid bought to the house with her.
Had the kid not ran off and the main kidnapper not been badly injured, they would have both been dead the moment she was bought back to the house.
Maybe you should pay more attention when you're watching a move.
