Nah they don't... not sure why... I guess because he whittles her that little carving and makes her popcorn we're supposed to have pity on him and want him to get away??? But the way he yelled at her to stop crying... I mean, he was a seriously disturbed fella... and that seems to have been taken advantage of by his cousin
Anywho... I can't imagine that the wife didn't turn him in to help herself in some way... or even still, he wasn't too bright, and they knew his name was Marvin and that he was the guys cousin, so perhaps he wouldn't have been that hard to track down
