Illinois destination_Scaries t Places on Earth

Can somebody please tell me what Illinois destination, featured on the television show Scariest Places on Earth, is rumored to be one of America's most haunted cities? Thanks......

The place listed in Illinois as possibly the most haunted city in America is Alton, which is north of St. Louis. I live about 15 miles north of Alton so I know about some of the locations like the McPike house, the Mineral Springs Mall, the old Rueben Hotel, etc. One of the people in the segment on Scariest Places is Troy Taylor, who has written several books on haunted places around Illinois and the Midwest.
