'Scariest Places...' crew

When we see stuff moving like the tray in the morgue of the sanitarium or the chair in the lighthouse how do we know it's not staged? What's to say that it's not a crew member or someone in hiding making it happen to make the show better? No one ever checked to see if someone was under the table or behind where the tray slid into. The girl's even said they didn't see it moving on it's own, just turned around & saw it pulled out.

well its up to you to judge wether it was real or not, i mean in australia we had a similar program called scream test, the people who made it admitted some was stagged but others were not of their doing (They staged some to frighten the contestents more) such as a gramaphone that started playing in a old hopsital that had no source (they sent crew around to try and find it but no gramaphone was found)

I'm sure at least most of it's staged. There's just too much happening for it to be real. Still, it's funny to watch those fools on the show screaming and running around like chimps on crack.

Well Folks....
I was on the episode about the Jersey Devil...
My name is Michael McLeer I lived in New Jersey for most of my life until moving to Colorado in '06. During the late 90's early 2000's, I created a website for the new group that my friend Laura and I started called The Jersey Devil Hunters. Soon after we were contacted by a producer who wanted to do a piece on us for the show Scariest Places on Earth. I can tell you first hand that me and my crew were both excited and disappointed in the show. At the end of the piece, there was a scary sound edited into the end of the show and the next second you see us all running. Then it fades to black and it says Laura refuses to talk about that day with anyone or something to that effect. When watching the show for the first time with Laura, I turned to her and said jokingly what happened laura? The truth is my friend had found a carcass of a deer and didn't know what it was and we were all running to his location to see what he had found. We were all happy to be a part of a show that gets re-run every Halloween and we can say watch TV on Wednesday and you will see me, but we were all disappointed that they holly-wooded the whole thing.

On another note although I no longer belong to the group.... That website is still going strong and Laura and her new gang are still doing it out there. Sometimes real scary stuff has happened! If you are interested in the real stuff that happens check out her site.
