Chillingham Castle--place of evil!...Book your wedding!

Jesus, this show spent a ridiculous amount of time hyping how Chillingham Castle was a place of absolute darkness. An alleged expert begged the suburban family du jour not enter, lest they be horribly killed.

...Check out Chillingham's website. I didn't know "places of absolute darkness" were good places to get married. Oh, and here's a particularly frightening quote from their "autumn wedding" description: "Then, take your glass of champagne to the lakes and life is perfect indeed!" ...Well, my blood's ice-cold.

Food for thought, I guess--if in no other way than wondering just how little respect some TV show producers must have for their audiences.

The art of losing isn't hard to master.

In October 2000, “Fox Family Channel” dared a family, the Olsons, from a small town in Illinois, to fly over from the United States and spend the night at Chillingham, Britain’s most haunted castle. The result was a night the Olsons, the Fox Family and all the TV viewers will never forget! This became the highest rated event in the “Fox Family” history!

Haunted or not haunted it would be weird to get married in a place with that much negative history. Kind of like booking a wedding at Alcatraz.
