Hot Lake in La Grande, OR

I live about five miles away from it and I really want to see the episode but I have no idea where to find it. Does anybody know??

It was on the SPOE marathon last year during ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween. There was a mother, her married daughter and son-in-law, and her son that toured through it during the day and then at night. The mother was thinking about purchasing the resort and land; restoring the resort; and then opening it as a bed and breakfast inn. Some disturbing things happened while they were there. It really scared them. They decided not to buy the property. A former employee of the resort said that it should be burned to the ground and salt poured all over the property to purify it. It seems to be infested with evil spirits. There was a doctor that carried on experiments there on women patients. Maybe they will have it on again this year during the 13 Nights of Halloween.

Thanks, I was curious about what happened on that episode.

About a year ago someone bought the property and it is in the process of being restored now. They are making it into a hotel and a restaurant. I don't think that the show was entirely accurate. At least no one I know is afraid of it at all, I mean I pass it everyday when I go to work. I even know people who snuck inside while it was abandoned. But I don't know, I've never actually been inside myself.

My grandpa lives in Union, OR, which is literally five minutes from the hotel, so I've passed it dozens of times. I went inside on a tour of the place this past spring, and it was a really neat experience because I'd always been fascinated and creeped out by the place at the same time ever since I was a kid. My dad grew up in the town his entire life, and his friend claims to have seen strange things in there before, among them being a rocking chair moving by itself, and an old piano that could be heard playing.

The place most definitely has a history, with being a hotel, a retirement home, a hospital, and a mental asylum. This post here: http://imdb.com/title/tt0280312/board/nest/70816514 has some pictures I took of the place when I toured. It was still under construction then, and I'm sure it still is. Very neat building though.

With gorilla gone, will there be hope for man?

I've heard those same stories too. When I'm not at college, I live in Union too. It really is a neat building. Especially on cold nights when there is a LOT of steam around. I'm not surprised people think it is haunted. I would like to take a tour. I'm not sure I believe the stories about the piano and the rocking chair though, just because I know people who have been in the building and never saw anything.
