Why did Fox not even try with this show?

If I remember correctly, Fox aired this on a Friday night and did nothing (that I could see) to promote it. What gives?

Keep in mind this was before Desperate Housewives hit it big and just after 9/11 - they essentially felt that it was far too dark at the time and didn't do anything to help it really.

It's one of those woulda coulda shoulda shows, but oh well.

It was a Friday. I didn't even remember that. I liked the show, but it just wasn't meant to be. Maybe it would have worked today? We'll never know.
