The Narrator...

Now, IMDB has R.L.Stine as the narrator for The Nightmare Room. When they say "the narrator", I'm guessing they mean the guy who does the voice over for the show's opening. He says he's R.L.Stine, but it's definitely not. It sounds a lot like Uncle Phil from the Fresh Prince of Bell Air. Is it him? It's not like they actually gave anyone credit for that voice over.

It is R.L. Stine. He even says he is.

Except for the fact that it sounds nothing like R.L. Stine. Perhaps he was just playing the role of R.L. Stine as if he were a character from a book (narrating the book) but either way it is an interesting choice. I think they got James Avery to do it because he could do the creepy effect well.

I believe it's James Avery as well. I'm pretty good at distinguishing his voice from others, well certain voices in general, and if I'm off it's usually someone with a similar voice.

Yeah, even my cousin said a few years back that it sounded a lot like James Avery. Either way, it isn't R.L.Stine who does the voice over like IMDB credits him as. I'm guessing they left the voice over uncredited because it was just for the introduction and for the epilogue narration at the end of each episode. But whoever did it should have at least received a "Narrated by" credit at least. The voice over guy was the only actor who showed up in every episode :p

Yeah, RL sounds NOTHING like that. It's crazy that most people think it sounds like James Avery but he isn't credited anywhere really save for a few sites that probably are ran by regular folks like us.

Haha, that's true.

It IS R.L. Stine. People are capable of doing different voices.

Yes this was a bit obsessive, I just was going to drop a couple of links but my tablet booted the web so it got me irritated and when I'm irritated I just want to get it over with lol.

JUDGE FOR YOURSELF
when I first saw The Nightmare Room I said to myself that's Uncle Phil!

James Avery is credited as the Narrator now on IMDB :)

Don't you hate it when horror movie posters are scarier than the movie itself?
