Is the show synopsis accurate/real?

Hoping to ride the coattails of Mr. Gibson's success, Greg decides to write and star in a biblical epic motion picture?

Is that the real synopsis of this show or is someone having fun with us?
First of all, Passion of the Christ didn't come out until 2004. Also the individual episode's synopsis don't seem to have anything to do with that.
I remembered hearing about this show (vaguely) way back when. And was thinking about checking it out..
