Some unanswered questions

Obviously the ending is very confusing, and there is a synopsis in another thread about the a possible explanation for most of the events in the final episode and in the series.

However I have some questions that I was wondering about, and I wonder if others noticed these as well.

In the final episode of season 2, in Roger's flashback when he's under water, we see some new scenes that were not in other flashbacks. We see a megadeus high in the sky, which appears much larger than other ones, baring its teeth. This to me looks a lot like the Big Venus which appears later in the episode. Is it Big Venus, overseeing the army of megadeuses on the ground below? Is it indeed Angel Rosewater piloting this big?

We also see a scene which appears so show a dead Roger Smith in the cockpit of a Big O, with a patch over his left eye. The Big O which he is in has had its faceplate damaged, showing bared teeth which are very similar to the Big Venus at the end of the episode.

This makes me think of two possible conclusions. Norman is actually the same type of clone as Roger, just older (i.e. cloned earlier, or in the first generation). The other thing I noticed is that Big Venus looks exactly like Big O, except in the head area, and with a different color scheme. Was this simply a big without its faceplate, as we see in the damaged one in Roger's flashback? Is Big Venus really just another Big O, one of the ones we see in the legions of Big O's in the flashbacks?
