Now, don't get me wrong... I LOVED Red Faction... I've beaten it several times and I just love it... But I have one major quirk with it: Red Faction copies Half-Life in several aspects...

The aliens: Capek's Creatures / Headcrabs and Alien Grunts
The Army: Masako's Marines / Grunts on radio
The story
The character: Cousins?
The HUD/weapon choosing system
The environmental protection suit
etc. etc. etc. (If you don't see what I'm talking about, lemme know, I will explain)

Another few points:
A) H-L is the greatest game ever
B) Geo-mod in RF is so wicked cool!
C) The guards in RF need to take Focusyn... They can't even stand still for one frame, geez!
D) The man in the suit in H-L = VERY good idea for games, added a wonderful little mystery and unexpected ending!!!

Speaking of copying, did you notice how some music from Perfect Dark snuck its way in there?

The secret ingredient is lemurs.

Haha! Oh my god... I haven't played it in a long time, so I don't remember much of that, but I will take a look into it...

NOTE: I wouldn't be suprised.

Great Game. One of my favorit FPS games. The weapons are great, and the bots in the game supply endless amounts of fun. Pick it up today, and TM2 while your at it.

How is the story a rip off? RF takes place on Mars during a revolution of miners, fighting against the corperation that enslaved them. Half-Life features a scientist fighting aliens from another dimention and the government/army trying to cover it up. No comparison there sir.

The characters are also nothing alike. Parker is a rich kid who wanted to take a year and work to sort out what he wanted to do with his life, instead of going to an Ivy League school. Freeman is a brilliant physicist (I think it is physics he has a degree in). He is also a lot older. The only thing they have in common is that they get causght up in events that are outside their control, but that is more or less every game ever made.

Granted the suits and weapons system are similar, but they are like that in a lot of FPS games.

Also, how can someone walk on Mars without an envirosuit? They wouldn't be able to survive in due to the atmospheric conditions.

Therefore the envirosuit is needed.

that is why Killzone was really a Halo Killer, Becuase Halo was just a ripoff of a done to death movie genre(a story of Humans fighting Aliens, there are only a million movies and games like that), Killzone takes futuristic sci-fi elements and mixes them with realistic Human vs Human full-scale warfare, there hasnt been many games like Killzone, it may have its little problems, but it still kicks Halos butt in my opinion

sorry for getting off topic, but I just had to say that

now, I have played and like Red Faction(Red Faction 2 wasnt has good has the first), but I havent played Half-Life, but I have seen demos and commercials, and just judging from that Red Faction is better, I think everyone is getting tired of Aliens!!! Fighting Humans is much more realistic

Killzone had way too many problems to be a "Halo Killer".
