What happened to John and Michael?

What ever happened to John and Michael Darling? They are Wendy's brothers and John is the one with the dark framed glasses and Michael is a toddler and is always holding a teddy bear.

Dunno about Michael, but I strongly suspect John went across to the enemy when the war started.
Control freak.

reply

Ok. I don't know about you, but that made me laugh! Me and my twin were practically in tears. You did mean it to be funny, didn't you?

reply

Someone told me they were deleted because the story was focused on Peter Pan and Jane, and Wendy only got a few appearances.
Personally, I would hope John and Michael could at least have a small appearance. Like in the final scene, when Jane's father returns home, he could bring them along as guests.

reply

I agree, My good guess is that John became a Business Man/University Professor and Michael is a soilder/Truck driver in the war.

I would assume the one with glasses is a song writer. And the toddler is a whore.

reply

If you listen closely at the end, you can hear Edward (Wendy's hubby) calling the truck-driver "Mike".

reply

Isn't it obvius? They moved away.

reply

Hey buddy, correct your obvious with an O okay? :)

Michael died while the war was going on. So John would have been the only one to make an appearance in the movie. It would have been nice if they did that.

reply

How would Michael have died? He was the youngest...then again, this is just a guess...

According to the book written by J.M. Barrie at the very end at "When Wendy Grew Up", Michael was a married engine driver and lord, and John was a beared man who had no stories to tell. Mrs. Darling was dead and forgotten while Mr. Darling gave the house to Wendy because he wasn't fond of stairs. That's all I can remember..

reply

Where'd you find that book?

reply

At my school library. I skimmed through the ending to see what happened.

And in that ending chapter, there is only Peter visiting a now grown-up Wendy (John & Michael aren't there in that scene). That's also probably the reason why John & Michael aren't in that same scene in Return To Neverland. Plus, they weren't close to Peter as Wendy was. Makes sense.

reply

I agree; that probably makes the most sense.

reply

It would of been too hard to get John and Michael in this sequel because it's too much focus about Jane while she's in Neverland with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. Wendy would need more appearing scene in this one just to get Michael and John to show up.

reply

Was John not Jane's father?

And yes. As someone else previously stated - Michael grew up to be a whore.

I came up with this theory that John died honorably while fighting in WWI, leaving behind a wife and 2 daughters. Michael also fought in WWI but survived. However, the war changed him greatly...he suffered from post traumatic stress disorder and drank heavily to combat this. One night in the late 40s, after another drunken night at the strip joint, he got into a fatal car accident. He went through 2 short lived marriages but never had any children.

I realize this is tragic but can't you totally see it happening?

reply

I can't. 
