'Happily Ever After' No longer exists at Disney...

I will get flak from my wife for writing this cuz she loves Mulan.

But after witnessing all these Disney Classics sequals and after working for the disney store (regretfully) I have come to the conclusion that the magic that Disney once held and created no longer exists in this world. What ever happened to that old saying Happily Ever after. I know it is the 21 century and kids witness more "Real Life" than we did when we were kids and are also far more commercial savy, but this garbage they keep churning out just tells us that Disney is no longer interested in being magical and original but greedy of the backs of parents with sequal kids.

I last real successful animation disney came out with in my mind was Lion King. But they had to disturb it with sequals just to make more money and keep the merchandise alive. I can't tell you how choked I was when I saw Lion King 2 1/2. The only original stuff coming out with a disney name nowadays are their TV shows (which they eventually turn around into a movie...ka-ching)and PIXAR. Pixar movies are wonderful and are the only ones left that carry the original Disney idea of magic and "happily ever after".

What Disney wants to do with their company is their business I know. And some people like the sequals. I have to admit my favorite disney animation sequal is Rescuers Down Under and Toy Story 2, but I just think sometimes a story just has to end and that is that. Disney has to get their creative juices flowing again and produce some good movies again.

Pixar is no longer owned by Disney. I think your right, sequals are no where near the quality of the originals. But I have to say, I loved Lion King 1 1/2, it was sssssooooooooo funny! Go to www.savedisney.com for more info. on the downfall of disney.(p.s. i loved mulan)
