mushu

this movie isnt going to be the same without eddie murphy. he really adds character to mushu and makes it funny. not many people can do that like he does. he was my favorite character in the first one so that kind of spoils it for me. i might still see it out of curiosity though.

yeah! i can't believe disney didn't bring eddie murphy back! although i'm pretty sure he'll be funny in The Haunted Mansion, it won't be the same. well, they did the same thing for The Return of Jafar. they brought the voice of homer simpson to do robin willams's Genie. but brought robin williams back in Aladdin and the King of Theives. so, aaaggghhh!!!

Yeah, it won't be the same. Eddie's gonna do a Shrek 2, why not Mulan? Grrr. I wonder if Yao, Ling, and Chien Po will be back? They're cool 2. Go Cri-kee!

reply

Eddie is doing Shrek2 because its a computer generated film which takes years and years to make, not to mention skill and LOTs of money! And it's a genuine continuation of the story, and a proper sequel; Mulan II however is bound to be a crap money spinner just like EVERY OTHER Disney sequel (cept 4 Rescuers down under)

reply

Does anyone here think that he could just not be bothered to do the sequel. I'm very disappointd in him not being mushu once again, I loved mulan and if they f*** it up then they will have ruined one of their best disney movies, like the Lion King and the little mermaid!

reply

Maybe Disney never asked him.

reply

they did, but there isn't a lot of money in a direct-to-video sequal to a guy used to making 8-12 million a picture, and besides, when dreamworks waved 10 million in front of him to do shrek 2, there was no contest. however, i must say that mark moseley, the actor that plays mushu, does the most dead-on eddie murphy impression you have ever heard. go listen to him again in the kareoke swamp party extra ending in shrek. that ain't eddie singing.

reply

If you check you'll see that the man doing mushu's voice is the same man whos been doing it for sometime now on the Disney channel,so for the kids who watch House Of Mouse its not going to fase them to hear his voice and I ahve theffelings its a lot cheeper to get him then Eddie..Is this going to make the moive a slighly less better film..mabey but in the onlg run I dont think it should matter and if it does then the first one must not have been that great if the mear change of a voice ruins the second

reply

mark mosely guy did voice over for eddie murphy on games, hasn't he? and he does sound alot like him, so i'm not too sad about him not being mushu, but am a bit. as long as he sounds like him, thats ok.
i'm also sad that mushu tries to break up shang and mulan becos hes going to miss her. aaw
