Give it a chance

Ok sure this film has an unconventional storyline but that's just Canadian cinema for you. Its always about playing with conventions and the search for identity. I recommend this film its a compelling human story with a certain abstract darkness. I would also say that it's a pretty good adventure story. I know there is no shortage of films about the search for one's self but this one does it in a creative and surreal way. Its not the best movie ever

I just watched it in a film class give it shot but not everybody would like it.

I totally agree with this.

I do think though that the plot weaknesses the user comment suggested could have been remedied, IF the movie was just about, oh, maybe 20-30 minutes longer? And yes, that includes the love scene.

I'm not into the 'plump' comment either. So what? A lot of women actually look like that. There are plenty of women that have this shape, and unless they're completely sedentary, looking like that isn't necessarily unhealthy. That look also happens to fit the role well as far as I'm concerned.

(Yes, I think curvy women are the coolest things on God's green earth. That's just me. ;))

Other than the above, the movie made me think about my priorities in life. The abstract, brooding quality seemed to do it for me.

I picked this up for $0.99 at a warehouse store, on DVD. Too bad it wasn't a widescreen version. But it is letterboxed, preserving the film's original screen size.
