Ryudo and Melfice

Ok this might sound realy stupid, but hey ive only just started to play this game (its very good by the way)ok here goes! Are Ryudo and Melfice brothers? I havent got very far yet so i dont realy know anything but its realy interesting and i cant wait around til i defeat the eyeball dudes.
