Phone call?

I love this movie! I rented it for two reasons -- first, it sounded interesting, and second -- Patrick Muldoon. I think he's gorgeous, and he's an awesome actor.

The ending blew me away -- on a second viewing I realized it was somewhat obvious -- but fun nonetheless.

:::SPOILER WARNING:::

My only question is -- who called him in the beginning? He couldn't have imagined it since his roommate was right there, and the roommate was not his imagination. Any ideas? Or is this just a goof?

I found the answer to my question when watching this the other night. When Matt "answers the phone", his roommate says something like "I didn't even hear it ring"...:)

Saw this movie last night and really liked it. I didn't realize the phone didn't ring either. Now for another question.....did he actually kill his friend in the end of the movie ??? Kind of sad if he really did. I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone.

He did kill his friend, out of paranoia.

He started suspecting everybody.
Remember the "man in black" getting in his room.
He told the sheriff: "I never said he was wearing black".
But he did.

His conscience was telling him that everybody was after him.
So unfortunately he killed his friend.

Great movie!!!

Why are you checking my sig?

Yeah, i would have been okay with it as a standard hillbilly justice film but the ending was an excellent twist I thought.
