With him refusing to tell his friends they never did anything like spying on him 3rd and nobody caught him in the act very often, they perhaps made him too invisible in his pre Superman years, at times I wish they had better indications how he was gonna be Superman in his lifetime before The Blur, he was basically the same character for seven seasons.

People like Perry White, the Luthors, Cat Grant and Detective Samuel Phelan would have surely did something if they found out.
May have lead to better stronger reasons for him to put on the suit later in life but they never touched up on that until season 8.
