Lana and Lex

I couldn't stand Lana and Clark after.. well after they started going back and forth. Soo pretty soon after episode 1 started in season 1 lol.

BUT I LOVED Lana and Lex.. am I the only one? It seemed to balance all the negative out lol. Now I know what's happened and Lex def tricked her...but all the dirty aside... I loved them as a couple. I didn't think I would until I actually saw them show feelings for each other. Probably my fav couple of the show

reply

Lana/Lex were completely disgusting and their "relationship" ruined both of their characters.

Yuck.

reply

Really? I wasn't a fan of the relationship either but I enjoyed watching how it played out and I didn't think it destroyed both of their characters. Lana's character was destroyed 'cause they kept going back and forth with her and Clark and a lot of people knew he was going to end up with Lois.

either one Clark should of told lana his secret a lot sooner or two they should of just been friends the whole time not the first show to do this back and forth thing with a long interest either

reply

I didn't like the relationship at all, but I did enjoy the character development that Lana went through because of Lex. It seemed to make her much stronger and independent.

It's kinda silly because it doesn't even seem like Lana was ever even in love with Lex. It seems more like she got way in over her head and realized they were wrong for each other when it was too late.

I mean in Hydro Lana literally tells Lex that she is still in love with Clark and that she'll always love Clark, but Lex is like "Oh well lol, let's just go on with the wedding".

reply

Eh I think Lanas "character" was ruined a long time ago... and yeah Lex is horrid but I still liked their relationship for some reason. (Hated the idea of it at first)

reply

Makes no sense. Came out of nowhere from Lana's end. Only done to keep Rosenbaum on the show. In short...crap.

And Lana goes from one abusive relationship to the next.

reply

I actually think it didn't come out of nowhere! I saw chemistry between them almost from the beginning... I'm surprised it took them that long to make it happen... idk it not that I liked their characters because I didn't but I thought their relationship at the beginnings was interesting

reply

Chemistry means nothing. I believe it from Lex's end since we have been getting hints ever since S4. But Lana showed no interest whatsoever until it came out of nowhere in S5. Sharp left turn designed to keep Rosenbaum on as Lex, nothing more.

reply

I liked Lana becoming more of a villain while with Lex because she was actually doing something outside of being a damsel and it felt like they were finally building up her character.

But I hated Lex with her. Michael Rosenbaum acting with any other actor in the show gave brilliant performances, especially John Glover. I actually really love all his interactions with Allison Mack, too. But not as part of the Lexana couple. The story lines were weak and them working together brought out Michael's least good performances.

reply

I would've like for her to stay as a villain so it would destroy Clark's faith in her.

reply

Same. But now that I'm re-watching it, I don't think that was possible. He was in love with the idea of her more than the person and that never changed. Because he couldn't give up on the idea of her, he could never in his mind tarnish the image he had of her.

reply

It always felt he was in love with the idea of her like everybody, kinda shows a desperation for normalcy.

Lana has always achievable opened her heart to men to take advantage of her while Clark pushed her away.

They were ruining any indication on why he ends up with Lois by playing up people's fetishism of Lana. She was like a three season love interest who stayed on for seven seasons.
