Can't Find anything online

I find it odd that in the first episode on Netflix (Texas Rangers), I can't find any newspaper articles on the search engines for any of these cases. Maybe because they weren't widely-known, national attention-grabbing cases...but still kind of strange.
Or maybe because all these things happened back in the 80s and 90s, it's just hard to track down any information.

I thought it was strange that in the Texas Ranger episode when they discussed Terry Brown and his g/f killing James Sikes in Texas...they go on to indicate that these two killed other people including Terry's mother... but they never actually say anything more than the two of them admitted to killing James and got 25 years for it. I feel like I'm not getting the whole story really... which is a slight detractor for the show.

But I plan to keep watching anyway, since I love forensics shows.

Looking for more to watch on Netflix also, but forensics shows are slim pickins right now.
