Did the animated shorts come before the movie?

I got the DVD, and I was checking the Extras and noticed that there was a collection of about three or four different animated episodes of Undercover Brother. Did they make these just for the movie, or did they come out before that?

Also, I was checking the deleted scenes for the explanation about the medallion that Undercover Brother wears. Who are the mom dad and little Undercover Brother credited as?

For the animated question go to: http://imdb.com/title/tt0279493/trivia
and scroll down to the bit about Gary Anthony Williams.

Go to: http://imdb.com/title/tt0279493/fullcredits
for the full cast and crew.

There are links to memorable quotes too on the left hand side of the main page for every movie!

"The story opens on these mysterious explosions. Nobody knows what's causing them, but it's upsetting all the buffalo." -Ed Wood

The cartoons were online before the movie. But I have another question. I see the animated series part on IMDB, but, I have been wondering for a while... what does it mean when it says "(V)" after the movie title??????

"Oh, George! Not the livestock!"

V I think means video...

And yes, Undercover Brother was made by Urban Entertainment and inspired the movie. The animation's okay, and if you've already seen the movie, the shorts aren't as funny. Now before the movie they would've been hilarious.
