Bubba

If he claimed to Love Justine and Phil so much then why the hell did he blackmail Justine into sleeping with him?!
I don't get that? He said something about him being a 'free man?'
Someone please explain to me why he did that?

I don't know if I'll explain this very well but the way I got it, in Bubba's mind Justine and Phil were the perfect couple. He knew that he will never find a girl that will be perfect for him as Justine was to Phil, so he just stayed near them, knowing this is the closest he will ever get to having a perfect relationship. Once he find out Justine is cheating on Phil, that image fell apart, they were no longer the perfect couple, Justine was no longer a perfect woman and Phil was just his friend whose wife is cheating on him. So finally, he was "free". Besides, he allways felt attracted to Justine, and now (since she was no longer the image of perfection, just this cheating woman) of course he took the chance to blackmail her into sleeping with him so he wouldn't tell Phil. See? He just doesn't care anymore.
This is opened for discusion.

It's a comedy. There's no point analizing it really lol . That scene was obviously written to make people laugh.

He meant that he no longer had to live in phil's shadow. Realizing Phil was a doofus whos wife ran around on him freed him from his idolization and allowed him to feel equal to or perhaps even surpass Phil, whom he thought had a perfect life.
