Virginia + Truckee RR?

The train shown when Jackson's wife arrives has the V&T RR markings that I have long known to be the Virginia & Truckee Railroad. It ran from Reno south to Carson City, Nevada. A branch traveled east to Virginia City, Nevada. I haven't found another railroad in the State of Virginia that would have used these reporting markings.

I would have thought the railroad that Jackson's wife would be arriving on would be the Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Potomac Railroad (or maybe the Manassas Gap Railroad or the Orange and Alexandria Railroad).

BTW, the shot of the train crossing the trestle after being loaded with soldiers heading to Manassas is marked W&A RR, the Western & Atlantic RailRoad, which only ran in Georgia.

I think it's the same locomotive with two different railroads painted on either side, neither of which operated in the state of Virginia.

It was the Virginia and Tennessee railroad; the precursor of the Norfolk Western which is now the Norfolk Southern.
