Retard rape?

Is that in this movie?

reply

Hell yeah baby!

Ah yes. Hairy woman nipples. Thats just sexy...

reply

Yeah.. I found the page where I read about it.

"I can't really ruin too much of the angsty plot for the film, particularly since we all know how Columbine ended, but I must say one thing about it: this was the first movie I've ever seen featuring gratuitous tit-shots during a scene where a retarded girl is raped. One critic sarcastically called it "the absolute best film Uwe Boll has ever made" and and another cracked "imagine the Columbine tragedy as translated into coloring book form." Unfortunately, this powerful movie failed find an American distributor, and I don't foresee this changing unless the retard rape market suddenly picks up."

Those comments are spot-on. Hilarious.

(...this movie is terrible, retard rape or no.)

IRAK is almost history -- BOLL STAYS!!

reply

Wow, I haven't seen this movie yet, but how could I miss a school shooting/retard rape movie? I don't think that America has gone so low to have a spike in the retard rape media yet, but we are more than likely another Drawn Together episode away from it.

reply

"Hell yeah baby!"

Yeah, Boll does do retarded rape scenes... I'm not sure anyone's ever sunk to that level before, even Lloyd Kaufmann stopped with pimping out the retarded chick in 'Citizen Toxie'.

I'd have to admit that she did have nice tits, but it was a pretty inappropriate use of tit shots.

reply

It's inappropriate to refer to someone mentally disturbed as a retard.

reply

How do you quote someone on this thing?
Well... Whatever... This is in reply to the last post...

Yeah, you planks!

reply

I think everyone calling that scene inapropriate missed the reasoning behind it, whereas it was one of the most important scenes because it made the younger brother realise.....nothing else had, but as soon as someone else crossed the line dramatically he had an instant change of mind. So please stop calling it a 'Retard Rape Scene' as it was a carefully shot scene of importance.

This was a very powerful film in my opinion. The only places it went wrong were at the beginning and the ending......
'Beginning' - Unnecessary voiceover on the writing followed by unnecessary footage of a kid being shot at school.
'Ending' - Unnecessary voiceover on the writing about all of the recent shootings. I feel that it should've been a time of reflection on the film and therefore by having a sad score playing whilst giving us the opportunity to read what was on screen could have worked much better. But then again it is a Uwe Boll film, so to only have two flaws (small ones may I add) I think he's produced a fine picture.

Cheers, Rob

reply

It's one of the best scenes of the movie.

Not because it's an impaired person being raped but because it does a good job of showing how differently different characters react emotionally to the event that took place.

"There ARE NO gratuitous tit shots in that movie"

Garbage. The rape scene is just Boll's excuse to do a T&A show for pervs: the scene itself serves no real purpose -- even if we're supposed to hate them for it, there are many other things the guys could have done -- and there's no reason to shoot it the way he did.

"Secondly, what's wrong with a mentally challenged girl being raped in an "R" rated film? Do you people think the director is trying to say he aproves of this?"

It's wrong when it's just done to stick some breasts into a bad movie.

reply

In other words: sex scenes are okay, unless it's in a Boll movie and you'll come up with any excuse to bash it. Have you actually WATCHED the movie?

reply

Boll has no taste. So doing a tasteful sex scene is impossible.
*END POINT*
How can a German understand the "Heart of America?"

reply

Rape scenes aren't really supposed to be tasteful, man. I don't think there even IS a tasteful way to shoot a rape scene.

reply

I agree with the first statement, Uwe Boll is pretty awful, but I don't agree that a German couldn't successfully make a movie about an American high school tragedy just because he's not American. Lots of directors have taken on projects, many of them based on historical events, that were outside their nationality. You can't tell me that Martin Scorcese didn't do a beautiful job on "Gangs of New York", despite not being Irish. Just sayin'.

I agree with dreamin.

Perhaps because Germans are the biggest ethnic group amongst Americans? But even if they weren't your comment makes no sense at all. Should all films by foreign directors be scrapped just because they aren't affiliated with the country their movie is dealing with? I think that's ridiculous, especially when it's coming from a country whose directors constantly make movies about other countries of which they (often) don't know anything about. Not to mention that it would scrap some of the best movies ever made, entire genres included and in my opinion a foreign take on things might actually sometimes be more insightful and original than a native one.

I think you Boll haters should really contain your hostility a bit more. No one is forcing you to watch his movies after all, but still you spend most of your time online to taunt his stuff. I've never seen any of his movies in fact, I'm just here because I'm looking for some movies related to the Columbine massacre, but no matter what quality this film is I honestly doubt those 37.5% '1' votes stem from a neutral point of view.

In one of it's many, and I do mean many incarnations, the "retard rape thread" is back open for business.

I have seen the movie.

Yes there is retard rape.

It is the only film that I have ever seen that does this. If it was any other filmmaker, I would say that they are using it to disgust the audience, Boll I honestly think would find it funny.

And it is a little funny. Just a little. It is even more fun to show your friends. I had a friend who told me the film is not that stupid, I told him to wait, he did, and he changed his mind and agreed, that yes, this film is stupid.

You see, it is not that the retard rape is not needed, but after the nerdy kid gets force fed the fecees, I am good on the force-this-in-here scenes for the day.

The film finishes something like really bad Larry Clarke film (I mean really bad).

The only aspect of this film that is tragic is that people watched and enjoyed it.

This film at best is nothing more than spectacle trying to pass itself off as something more.

Do you know Boll and thats why you think he would laugh at that scene? The scene was to show how *beep* up people can be...Apparently you missed the point of the movie because you were to busy thinking of ways to bash Boll.

At the end of the story, the brother says, "Yeah, I heard about that. That was you? I heard there was xxx involved." And he answers, "That was just rumours." My DVD doesn't have subtitles. Can somebody tell me what was involved? I have a feeling it matters.

I think it was the stickball bat, but I'm not completly sure. It's been awhile since I've watched this movie
