Do you think this should be continued/remade as a longer series?

The worst thing for me about BS6 is the fact that it's only four damn episodes long! The characters all certainly made an impression on me, but I really think that both they and the show itself could be even better if it was longer - say, around 26 episodes or so. I'd certainly like to see more development of the relationship between Verg and Zorndyke, and also more development of the characters of the Blue Sub crew, most notably Kino, Iga and Huang.

More than anything else though, I'd REALLY want to see a much stronger emphasis on the relationship between Hayami and Mutio. For me, the meeting between them in "Hearts" really comprised the core of what the entire series was about, and there just wasn't enough of it.

Well, we can always hope, I suppose. If any Japanese series needed a longer and more fully developed anime, "Blue Submarine No. 6" is it!

Yeah I definately agree, but I think they were going for more of a film/movie feel than the more traditional animes.

I think the special effects might have cost abit to keep going for the series but it would pay back when people really got into the series.

But I know what you mean though, this is an anime that I really did like, there was something different about it.

I agree, however I think it really was made more for a movie feel. Maybe add on 1 or 2 episodes, then combine them all? Call it a movie with "chapters." Seems like a good idea to me.

It could make a decent 24 ep series. I would be interested in seeing flashbacks about Zorndyke as a scientist and it would make sense to me if they showed some of his ideas being pushed by money grubbing businesses, or being used by the military as a form of weaponry, that was one of the impressions I got from him, he tried helping society but they perverted anything he did for personal gain and money. Plus I would be interested in seeing how sh***y the world looked with 10 billion!!! people populating it.
