Best version

There are about 6 different versions of this, including the OVA version, the Toonami version and the film version.

Could somebody please recomend which is the best one. Preferably one that has the original Japanese dialog and some accurate subtitles (EG NOT the dreadfullly censored toonami version where they airbrushed out all of the smoking).

A product code would be useful too.

The film version is basically the DVD release of the Toonami cut, so the OVA version is the best.

It has the original Japanese version and the Special Editon boxset contains a bonus disc with deleted footage from the video game "Antartica" as well as a few other features.

Do you have a product code/number for it?

How could the Japanese version suck and the English version not suck, they are identical for about 95% of the time.

Is this your way of saying that you simply don't like watching subs?

I don't actually have anything against dubs (Dubs sell DVDs and so get more things on the shelves), I just can't stand it when some companies like 4kids purposefully change the contents of an Anime when they dub it.

For example, some companies often make huge changes to the plot or the story line. I'd rather have an accurate sub than a deliberately changed dub.

4Kids is probably the best known offender. It's largely because they deal only in animation for ages 6-11, and mostly in stuff for boys, so they alter everything that they get their hands on to fit that demographic.

I used to watch only dubbed anime but then I grew up and stopped being lazy and started watching them in the original language with subtitles. In the end I discovered that 98% of them were better subtitled.
However, I agree that the english voice of Verg was better. Unless he is supposed to sound like a 17 year old asian kid. If that is what was intended, then they hit it right on the head with the voice actor.
