What was so bad about 'Ronnie'?

On the season two special features there is a little bonus episode called Ronnie. It never aired and the text before the episode says that it cost a lot of money to make, but is a huge embarassment to the creators.

My question is, why?

It seems like a funny, typical episode of Sealab to me. I wish the creators had expanded on why they never saw it through to the end with this ep.

Does anyone on here know any info about this?
