7211?

Did they just leave one episode entirely unedited due to popular demand? Does anyone have any more information regarding this?
It was at least revealing as to how utterly horrible the original series was.

reply

They still edited it for time, replaced the original voices with the 2021 cast, and added the twist ending which played during the credits.

This was on last night on adult swim...oh my god...I thought this was like the pilot episode or something, I kept waiting for a punchline...but nothing...except for "sea men"

This episode confused the crap out of me initially to but it's just a tribute.

It makes mention of it on the back of my season 2 DVD.

I hadn't seen any of the original since I was a kid, oh how far animation has come.

I really think I was the only one who appreciated this episode...sure it wasn't exactly the funniest episode but it was playing it straight to end with a punchline

I thought this episode was cool. Gave me an idea of how incredibly dry (no pun intended) the original show was and gave me more of an appreciation for the absurdity that they brought to into it. Also, loved the ending.

I may be a little late to respond but I think the whole joke of the episode was just showing how vastly different the characters were from 2020. You know since many of us had never seen the original series.

When this episode was originally aired, I was so angry at the end of it.
