Where was this show based?

The 3 lead girls were Canadian but the show was filmed in Australia. Where was this show based?

they had to...

because I dont' think that the US backed it.....it was really a co-austrailan Canadian production....so they had to use actors from all three countries..

other shows...like white fang.....and I can't think of another one..but it was Canadian, france, and new Zealand....

they had to use actors from all three of those countries....

so in white fang....two of the leads were Canadian...one of the leads was French...and the minor characters were all from new Zealand

and the three lead girls were supposed to be americans....

but since it was done in Australia....it kind of converted to that country.....

and I think in the original cast..only one girl was Canadian and the other two were austrlian...you can hear it in their accents....

it all changed because of where it was filmed..

just like the heartland books...which were based in virgina, I think...but because it's filmed in alberta.....all the story is about Canada...and not the US

so really if the US had nothing to do with this show...the no American actors needed to be used..

and here's another example...

I dont' remember the name of the series...but it went for three years....

the first two, it was with Canada and france, I believe, maybe a bit of the UK thrown in.....

and all the actors reflected that.....but at the end of year one....the other two backers wanted to pull the plug....and the US stepped in...so they right away cast an American actor in a lead role...where previously there wasn't one......

this show stared Christopher plumber......as the rich guy who let the rest of the crew patrol mysteries in his plane...wanting to set the world right, after his wife's death...and his daughter I think was part of that team....

and the same thing happened with the show forever knight......at the end of season two.....they were going to pull the plug, but the US stepped in...and therefore we needed a couple of American actors in lead roles.....

Obviously it was set in Australia. Many of the vehicles shown in the series are unique to Australia (or rather, not found in North America), including the Nissan Patrol, Toyota Hiace, Ford Falcon, and so on.
