HOW IN THE HELL COULD THEY NOT....

.....SHOW THE FOOTAGE HE FILMED?!!! That would have been the funniest part of the entire movie! The ultimate punchline! For the entire second half I just wanted to see what the footage was like. I'm not saying they had to show the whole film, but a few scenes at least! Geez! How could they pass up such a great opportunity to include so many hilariously bad shots, bad cuts, and bad pieces of acting? That would have made the movie a million times better! Anyone? Anyone?

I actually liked how they left it unshown. The point was made and this point may have been dulled by showing it.

As I was watching the film, I thought the exact same thing - show us clips! But upon further reflection, it's better that it was left not shown. As bhikkhu stated, the point was made. Our imaginations can sort of "fill in the blanks" on what the film looked like. And also, the French loved it, so that clues us in a bit regarding how it looked.
