Some great lines in this film..

I didn't see the whole thing so I'm hoping some people can fill me in. But, after they got the audience responses and were reviewing them, some were:

"Would you recommend this movie to a friend"
-Yes, if I was friendly w/ Hitler.

"What genre would you put this movie in?"
-Early American garbage.

I peed when I heard those. Also, when his son changed his name to Scumbag X. What a riot.

Does anyone have any other gems from earlier in the movie? Love to hear them... Thanks!

My favorite is when he is first blind on the set and the Chinese cameraman and the translator get into an argument right in front of Woody and goes "Who ordered?"

I think this is Woody's last great comedic performance

I'm cracking up!!!!

As Woody's leaving his son Scumbag's place he beats himself up for neglecting Ellie (Leoni) for so long, failing to notice her even though she's right there under his nose. And in what's a send up of the whole film, Scumbag quips something like, "Psychosomatic blindness-- what a metaphor for that!"
I'm sure it nearly kills Allen to have to state to the audience what's obvious to himself, but it's a funny line.

With this movie, I noticed I was giving myself a beat or two after some of these lines to give the chance for the joke to roll around and kick in.

The one line that killed me was from Ellie when she said about Lori, "I forgot she existed." Fantastic delivery.

I also really loved Val's interactions with the Chinese translator.

Love means never having to say you're sorry. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

I can't direct a film blind.

Have you seen some of these movies?
