Malcolm McDowell

Two things :

1)

I think it was somewhat obvious that Malcolm was disappointed/upset with the way Kubrick treated him after the filming of Clockwork. As he said in his interview(s), Stanley literally cut him off as soon as the production was complete - not even returning his phone calls or anything. Like he said (and I'm paraphrasing) "I didn't expect to be a close friend of him afterwards, but I just assumed we would keep in touch ... but that was obviously how Stanley felt about it all."

I wonder why Stanley was like that to Malcolm ? It doesn't seem as though he did anything to prompt such behavior from Stanley. The obvious & easy answer would be "Stanley liked to live a very private life.", but I would think that he would at least return a phone call to someone who obviously had an enormous amount of respect for Stanley as a director & as someone who Malcolm obviously felt as though he owed so much towards for his career.

2)

I love that Malcolm recognizes that this role was a very UNIQUELY ideal fit for him....and he even goes as far as to say "I think there are some actors/actresses who just happen to come across a role that was MEANT for them to play. I feel I was MEANT to play that role."
