Revelation

I just saw this film on Sci-Fi Channel last night (5-25-04) and I was immediately intrigued by the story. The Templar legend has always interested me, and they went into great detail to incorporate many of the myths/theories about the legend into this film. Unfortunately it was way too slow to be considered a good film. Even for someone like myself that is interested in the storyline it was boring. As much as I WANTED to like this film I can't recommend it. The actors were okay and the scenery was excellent. I just wish they had done MORE with it.

I agree 100%. I've always found the topics in this movie to be beyond interesting. However, the great subject matter of this movie was flushed down the toilet by its storyline and lack of closure at the end of this movie. By that I mean, in clear terms...what the hell happens next? I think that there needs to be sequel to this movie but considering the sucess of this film, I don't think we'll be seeing that anytime soon, although for selfish reasons, I wish they would just to close the gap on all my questions.

I just assume there will be a sequel.

I had to wait a long time for Starship Troopers II but eventually it was done.

This is interesting in that the battle between good and evil in the Damien films occurs before the rebirth of Christ, and is waged only with the presence of the Anti Christ.

Here the Christ and AntiChrist birth occurs at the end of Revelation and presumably both would be involved in the Battle between Good and Evil.

This should be done eventually.

Utter, complete drivel. Old storyline badly screenplayed. Its a long time since I've witnessed acting/direction like this. Simply appalling. Its quite incredible that any producer could have watched the first weeks dailies and not re-cast.

Even Stamp was made to look poor by this script / effort.

Nice looking film though. The locations team did a great job.

:-)

(Tony's right about every other darn thing in though - laughable!)

The atmospheric location shots are the best thing about the film. Malta looks good.
