Grand Master?

Why was the Grand Master evil anyway? He was the Grand Master of the Knights Templar and they wasn't evil. They may of been savages etc but they were followers of Christ. So why was the Grand Master evil? And how did he live for thousands of years?

One thing i didnt understand is why they seemed unable to open or break down doors? They seemed to try the handle and give up, they shoulda just booted the door down, lol

I can turn invisible yet i cant seem to get past this locked door, lol

The Ceefax synopsis said he was a demon, which wuld suggest that he had taken over and corrupted the Templars with mind to use Christ's DNA to create an Antichrist. This would explain both why he was evil, and why he lived so long.

'Right, the shop is closed, everybody get out! Back on the streets, you time-wasting bastards!'

Symbolism...T

The Grand Master was a personification of evil: evil is timeless and omnipresent and constant, and the search for supreme power will never cease.

The only way to present that in a film is to embody those ideas in a supernatural human being.

As he was shown to be the guard on Jesus' cross, I'd say he was Longinus. But the film never told it to the viewer and left it for us to decide for ourselves. One thing was sure though, he was evil and unnatural living all the time since Jesus.

I thought it was going to be about the spear of Longinus relic. The spear of power that the Nazis sought. But it quickly went onto another relic.
