Is nobody going to bring up Pacino's accent?

What the hell was that? It was like a half assed Cajun accent. He was supposed to be from LA. I get that he didn't want to sound like he was from the Bronx, which he is, so he had to change it up a bit, but what a weird ass choice to do some south eastern thing.
