So how did they get these actors again?

My question is how did they get actors like Lucy Lu and the other pretty well known actors to do this movie?

no that it matters, it wasn't a very good film. Also, can anyone tell me what the heck happened? I watched this movie three nights ago and I still don't get what went on half the time. Why does the invisible woman do the director and how does he come back to life? Why are they serving human flesh for their visitors and why is the prosititute sticking her breasts in milk and why is nothing explained? The only thing I thought was cleaver in this movie is how they would start off a scene and you wouldn't know it was actually them filming their dogma movie, and then something suprising would happen and you would find out then that it is just them filming.

I've seen many Dogma films, and generally I love them or at least like them, but this is a pathetic attempt to latch on to much better movies. I suspect this looked like a prestige picture when you consider some of the relatively big names – but on the other hand, Salma Hayek, David Schwimmer and even Burt Reynolds were hardly the A-list in 2001 (or 2012).
