Great, except for the torture.

I was really on board with this movie. It seems like an old computer adventure game, and the whole time I was thinking it would be great to see in IMAX. I was also thinking that it'd be great for kids; it's the type of thing that I'd have loved when I was a kid.

And then the torture scene kicks in.

I mean... was that remotely necessary? I don't know, maybe I'm just too averse to the concept of torture, but it really and completely ruined an otherwise very fun movie for me.

I was wondering if you could tell me more. This movie is playing on the satellite for the next little while. I have a 7 year old daughter. Would it be to graphic do you think? How long is it...maybe i could distract her for a bit! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

...have you ever seen a human heart? It looks like a fist covered in blood.

Probably too late now, but yeah, it's pretty bad. Would've haunted me for weeks had I been younger. Things like electrocution and slow lowering into boiling oil, and it's all very vocalized.

Yikes, she can't even handle Harry Potter. I guess I'll pass (for her sake, maybe I'll check it out when she's asleep!) Thanks.

Well I don't know if it is that bad. I saw it at Six Flags Great America during Freight Fest and there were young kids seeing it with their parents. It was kind of cheezy if you ask me.

The torture scenes got me hot

I saw this when I was younger, and my mom covered my eyes for that scene.

I'm really intrigued about this movie thing.. although the torture scene sounds unappealing >.> I found out about it because I searched "kyoko baertsoen" on here...

It shouldnt be shown in any Imax theatre before 9pm, why are you taking your kids that late?

IMHO it was the only thing interesting and scary, the rest was just an excuse to show off their sound and 3d effects neither of which were ever used to make the show remotely scary bar this one bit.

What age child would be too young to see this? The movie is being shown at 4;15 in my town for an after school event for 9 & 10 year olds. Should they go?
