Sounds like a much better storyline than this movie had. All that running from him after almost 2 hours for her to come back to him and finally end it.

Slim did try to get away. Mitch tracked her down & tried to kill her.
But I will say I would have definitely gone to the police the very first time he hit me.
Not to mention the second!
I know that restraining orders don't mean much, but I still would have done it.
