Why Kill Himself?

I loved this film, but I did think the ending made no sense at all. When Sullie was lieing in Jinhu arms, her dieing wish was that he would look after their son. Once she has passed away, he killed himself, thus going against his loves dying wish, and making his son an orphan.

If the kid was not in the equasion, it would have been a great ending (two lovers die in eachothers arms and all that), but considering he was in the equasion, it made no sense at all.

anyone agree?

To be completely blunt, it's because this movie sucks.

The general plot is good, but the script, directing, and such were very very poor.

Yeah, that's unfortunate. Jinha loved his son, but loved Sullie much, much, more. He wanted to be with her rather than their child, having to choose between the two. At that point he was probably so miserable he just didn't take her final wish into regard, I suppose. Something that really got to me was how her brother covered the boy's eyes so that he wouldn't have to look at his parent's dead bodies, I found that really sad.

Only don't tell me you're innocent. Because it insults my intelligence and makes me very angry.

Jin-ha wasn't able to live any longer because he was hurtet too much by his enemies. Moreover, at the moment when Sullie dies in his arms he couldn't stand all the pain in his heart and his body any longer, because living without her would not have done any sense for him. Now, after having found her back at least, he would not want to leave her once more, even if this would mean to let his son alone. With his last view to Sullie's brother Jin-ha gave the live of his son into the protection of Sullie's brother. This was all what he could do for his son. He had to follow Sullie, the love of his life!
I love this film so much, it touches me deeply. Does anybody know if there is a Director's cut including the deleted scenes?

For crying out loud, put up a spoiler alert.
