Currently being filmed with some OB stuff being done next week. Whether they've done the studio stuff or this is just the start and then switch to studio after, but Donna (Natalie Casey) is on location next week.

It sounds terrible. I personaly love the show, and while I was rather annoyed when Johnny left I stuck with it. But to be honest it really feels like the show has hit a point where it should be ending. It's becoming one of those shows that has passed it's prime and rather than admit defeat they're squeezing every last drop out of it.
I really miss Kelly more than anyone though if I'm honest, I loved that dirty bitch :P and you really can tell the show's creator left in the later series, the show visibly suffers standard wise and since she's not returning either, it'll be just as bad.

Will has just filmed his ninth and final series of the BBC3 cult comedy, having played Gaz since the start in 2001.Love that he said he doesn't want to "flog the horse too long", when everybody knows it's gone on about 3 series too long. share
“I’m saying goodbye to that character. It’s nice to do, to say thank you to everybody who has supported the show. You can only do so much for so long and, obviously, I’ve got my eye on other things now. I didn’t want to flog the horse too long.
“My character in the last series has a big crash, so I’m starting this one with Gaz in a wheelchair. He’s got to learn to walk again through the series. And there’s an emotional ending.”
He adds: “Gaz isn’t killed off, so I might go back to do a special but not another series.”

shareI'm kind of disappointed with the way the show ended. Why didn't Donna tell Gaz why she couldn't go with him? Would that have made him want to stay? Maybe.
Donna's heartbreak at the end was painful to watch. I do hope they do a special (maybe 2 hours?) with the Original Cast and new cast to wrap things up. ie; Gaz returns from his journey and finds Donna still waiting for him etc etc.
But overall the entire 9 series was great and funny as.
