Any Shirley Coates Info?

Shirley Coates is notable for being the only female supporting cast member to appear several times in the series, being part of the main gang without being a full star of the gang like Darla or the later Janet. In a way she's kind of the female equivalent to the more prolific Waldo. She played "Muggsy", a tall girl with glasses and braids although I don't recall them referring to her by this name. She played two small parts in 1937 and was in six credited as Muggsy 1938-1940. In her last one, THE BIG PREMIERE she is one of the stars of the home movie with the regular cast, playing both Sleeping Beauty and the Wicked Stepsister, yet isn't even referred to by name. Does anyone know any biographical data on Shirley? Is she living? IMDB credits her with a single 1969 TV appearance some 25 years after her last movie. Is this the same Shirley?
