Spanky- I considered him the main star(first among equals) Chubby is another favorite. He ended up with a sad life.

For me, it's a toss-up between Stymie and Spanky. They were such sweet little
wiseguys.
Alfalfa, however, gave me the creeps. In real life, he was a nasty little
punk to the other child actors as well as the crew. He played mean pranks on
the kids--putting a fish hook on Spanky's chair, telling Darla to reach into
his pocket to pull out a toy (he'd left an open pocketknife in there, and she
cut her hand on it). Once when a member of the crew spent several hours setting
up lights for a shoot, he deliberately relieved himself on one of the lights
just to irritate him. Nice kid.

I always like Spanky because he had a funny voice, like Mel Blanc did. He was also the leader of the gang, which I wished I was.

my favorite was always Spanky, I liked him in "arbor day"... and I liked Butch in "glove taps"
they were all very cute + talented

I'll have to go with Spanky- to me he was the star. I feel the sorriest for Chubby. Chubby seems to have had a sad life.

Spanky was Da Man! I loved Scotty too...he was so cute!
I actually loved all of them except Froggy! he grated my nerves.

I think hearing the stories about Alfalfa being a lil bastard over the years has made me not like him as much as I used to. hahaha.

Calm down, calm down.

First of all, I'm not sure you understand what the word 'hypocrite' means. It means someone who says one thing but does something else, like, f'rinstance, a preacher railing against 'immorality' who's secretly cheating on his wife.

Second, and more important, I understand you like Froggy and the later episodes. But a lot of people don't, and yelling at them isn't going to help. If you want to stick up for them, that's fine, but respect their opinions as you want them to respect yours.

My two favorites have always been:

Scotty Beckett... he was a much better counterpart to Spanky than Alfalfa, and I was very disappointed to find out that Scotty was booted because of Alfalfa, whom I never liked.

Norman "Chubby" Chaney... he just always made me laugh and had great comedic timing

Scotty wasn't booted because of Alflafa, as far as I know. He left the series because he was finding more lucrative roles in features.

My favorites:

Spanky: Especially when he was really little. He was so funny!
Scotty: He was SO adorable! I loved how he wore his hat sideways and the baggy clothes. What a cutie.
Buckwheat: I love when he smiles. It's hilarious!
Darla: She's so cute when she sings.
Stymie: He makes me laugh!
Dorothy: She didn't have too many major roles, but I still really like her.

I liked Chubby,we all know he was a big kid and lived a short life, but i liked him, there is an episode where jack convinced a his buddies to tell ms Crabtree fiance (who was her brother) she had a wooden leg and false teeth, camera panned on Chubby and he was crying pretty...tugs on my heart strings.
I found Spanky to be annoying
