How come people are offended by the semen but not by today's other shows

It seems like the other shows that are one today are pure garbage, but people do not seem to mind watching. However, when Fear Factor wanted to air the most recent semen episode, people screamed and cried. Why? Garbage is garbage, but at least with Fear Factor, Joe Rogan makes it a little bit more fun. It should come back on and give people a reason to look forward to tv again.
