I really enjoyed watching this movie and would very much like to know if and when a sequel is to be produced. Incidentally this is one of the few episodes available on DVD, Region 2 - does anyone know if the whole series will also become available in this Region?
shareI was able to buy the entire series, minus this movie, from ioffer.com for $25. Very good quality and an excellent price. Not sure about the region code but I am sure you could ask. Love this show. The movie was good but I wish it included Grace and Mrs. Bailey. Oh well, guess we can't have everything!
shareMtrDew dependant - Thanks for the very interesting note: you did well to get the series for 25 dollars. I am in England but when I was in Canada I was told that most of the epsidoes are available only as Region 1 DVds. By the way do you have a favourite character?
shareGrace is definitely my favorite character. I was disappointed with how her story turned out. She really didn't get her happy ending. I wish they could have had one more season. I always wanted her to end up with Del, but I guess we can't have everything!
I also really liked Honey and the first actress who played her. It wasn't quite the same after she left.

Thanks MtDewdependent - I take your point about Grace; you are quite correct. I myself like Mrs Bailey, so well played by Shirley Douglas, and also the two boys. As I stated before I'd really like to get the whole series on Region 2 DVD - plesse let me know if you find any further information.
shareSorry for the delayed response. I just checked ioffer.com, and the seller that I bought it from originally has raised the price just a bit, to $33.45, which includes shipping in the US. It says that these discs will play on DVD players worldwide and are region free. I can vouch from experience that it is excellent quality, and even comes with art work.

I agree about Mrs. Bailey. She is such an excellent actor. One would have to be to make you despise them one second and like them the next. I also really loved Fat in the first three seasons. He was so sweet and funny. As he grew up, some of the sweetness went away, but I still enjoyed his character. Hub turned out really nicely in this Christmas movie, he was very sweet and gentlemanly, always wanting to do the right thing. I wish they would do one more follow-up movie, as this one still left a lot of questions unanswered. I really wish Grace and Mrs. Bailey had been in this movie.
Dear MtDewdepemdamt. Many thanks for your last note: I have been trying for some time to access ioffer.com but have found it impossible to do so from the UK. The HMV shop tell me that I could solve the problem by purhcasing a multi-regional DVd player and I think this may be the answer. I really appreciate your help. By the way whenever I go to Vancouver I watch THE WIND AT MY BACK which is aired each morning on Bravo television at 6 am. Thanks again - and I'll let you know if I am successful.
