So is this film base on 'bleachers' then? Anyone know?
shareNo, it isn't based on his book "Bleachers". This movie comes from an original screenplay written by John Grisham. "Bleachers" is set in high school football, this is set in Little Leauge baseball. It's not his first original movie Grisham wrote; he wrote the script for "The Gingerbread Man" but recieved credit under an alternate name and only got story credit.
shareIf you go to mickeythemovie.com you can see the trailer as well as some of the towns (mainly in the South) where the film will be released over the next few days. The movie will most likely go to DVD within a few months of its theatrical release, depending on how well it does in theaters. But it's mainly going to be shown in southern cities. I've heard it's quite good.
