locved it when it first came out but now its showing its age, what i dislike most about it has to be the cam, but its still a really good game and it helped start it all (you cant count GTA 1 and 2 because they was topdown and nothing like the GTA games on the ps2)
i give it an 7.5 (would have got an 8 if you could swim and move the cam easyer)

I think yall are expecting a lil too much for the first gta game ever to be released on ps2..this was probaly the best game out the first couple of years it came out and set off all the other gta games that came after..better missions and having motorcycles I admit should've been done..but swimming and better camera angle is askin for a lil too much..ofcourse every game released after is gonna be better cuz they learn from their mistakes
I'd rate this game a 8 on the ps2...but I suggest if anyone gonna get this game, get it for the PC...u could use mods and it also has better graphics..u could make it just as good as the other gta games

I would give it a definate 10/10. The story line kicks a$$ and it has tremendous replay value.
